VICTORY8ET During the 1960s, SAS introduced Caravelles on most of the domestic routes. The expanded facilities allowed SAS to take into use Sud Aviation Caravelle jets on the Copenhagen routes, although they were also occasionally used to Bodø. Along with the runway expansion, a new service building, with a capacity for 2 million passengers, was opened in 1964. It was located about half a kilometer (quarter of a mile) south of the former terminal. The Røros stops were terminated in 1958, but reinstated in 1963 after the runway had been extended.
