But considering the game’s Kickstarter campaign received nearly $3 million in backer money, it’s clear that there is a sizable Yooka-Laylee fanbase out there that would go nuts if the characters were in the next Smash Bros. But since Microsoft owns Rare and is unlikely to let Nintendo use any of the studio’s original characters in one of its games, the Banjo-Kazooie knockoffs Yooka-Laylee would be the next best thing.|2024 AFC Champions League
