LIPAT138 With the DS, Nintendo takes a step back from the better-graphics, faster-processors race that has been the dominant force for change in the video game industry. In the last two years alone, Nintendo has sold over 33 million Game Boys worldwide. The games for DS, which are about the size of a postage stamp and resemble some digital media memory cards, will fit in the smaller of the DS's two possible gaming slots. However, with its laundry list of handheld firsts, a multitude of possibilities are now open to game developers.
